Import Team Lead

We currently have a vacancy for an experienced Import Team Lead within our Perth Team. This position will be responsible for leading the Import team and ensuring effective and efficient customer service.

The fundamental responsibilities of this role include: 

• Supervising the Import (& domestic) team

• Liaising with and developing relationships with clients, contractors, customs and AQIS

• Attending meetings with PFS staff and clients when required

• Attending wharf and airport for high profile and priority shipments (if required)

• Liaising with other team leads and managers within PFS to resolve issues, improve work flow and productivity

• Personally manage import shipments that are high priority or high profile

• Approving all job files prior to disbursing or final invoicing

• Holding monthly Import team meetings

 The successful candidate will have:

• Minimum 5 year’s experience in a similar role

• Previous leadership experience with a strong ability to drive, develop and motivate team members and exceed customers expectations

• Advanced negotiation and relationship skills

• Experience influencing and engaging key figures in client organisations

• Positive and professional attitude, especially when under stress / pressure

• Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite

• High attention to detail and strong planning and organising skills

• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written

• Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment

• Current unrestricted drivers licence

• Dangerous Goods by Air / Sea & Road Accreditation

• Aviation Security – AACA

Desirable

• Customer Service experience

• Key Account Management
