As a Commercial Seed Technician, you will perform a wide range of tasks in both the field and warehouse to support and enforce our quality assurance systems and our production program.
Duties will include
Under InterGrain's Seed Quality Assurance System
Prepare production samples for sowing.
Undertake infield crop assessments and note taking.
Rogue seed production areas to maintain InterGrain's varietal and seed purity standards.
Seed cleaning, treating and labelling of production samples.
Adhere to seed traceability and verification standards and processes.
Assist with the servicing and maintenance of Commercial seed equipment.
Assist in maintaining the integrity of InterGrain's commercial seed production database.
Assist in the management of warehouse inventory and stored seed quality across multiple sites.
You will also support and work with InterGrain's field team, as required.
Required
A passion for Agriculture and a love of working outside.
Attention to detail, planning and time management skills.
Be able to work independently and as part of a team.
Able to learn quickly on the job, self-motivated and meet deadlines.
Driver's license.
Desirable
Experience handling and applying chemicals.
Manual license, heavier classes and forklift license.
Experience in an ISO9001 or HACCP quality assurance or food safety environment.
