Are you an experienced Speech Pathologist ready to step into a leadership role where you can influence clinical excellence, develop clinicians and make a lasting impact?
Optimum Health Solutions is seeking a Speech Pathology Area Manager to join our leadership team and support the growth, development and success of our Speech Pathology team.
This is an exciting opportunity to combine your clinical expertise with leadership, mentoring and team development while continuing to remain connected to client outcomes through an active clinical caseload.
With more than 20 years of Allied Health excellence, 14 clinics across NSW and Tasmania, and a team of over 200 professionals, Optimum Health Solutions provides a supportive environment where clinicians can grow, specialise and thrive.
About The Role
As Speech Pathology Discipline Area Manager, you will work collaboratively with operational and clinical leaders to ensure our Speech Pathologists are supported, developed and empowered to deliver exceptional outcomes.
Your Leadership Focus Will Include
Clinical Excellence & Performance
Drive accountability to clinical standards, KPIs and performance expectationsSupport clinicians to deliver high-quality, evidence-based Speech Pathology servicesMaintain strong clinical governance and quality outcomes
Team Development & Mentoring
Develop individual clinician career development plansSupport professional growth and clinical capabilityProvide coaching, mentoring and leadership support
Staff Engagement & Retention
Champion a positive, supportive and inclusive team cultureDevelop strategies that improve clinician engagement and retentionBuild a connected and high-performing Speech Pathology team
Clinical Practice
Maintain a clinical caseload of approximately 21 billable hours per weekContinue providing client-centred Speech Pathology servicesLead by example and support clinicians with complex presentations
About You
You are a passionate Speech Pathologist who enjoys developing others, driving high standards and creating meaningful change.
You Will Bring
Minimum 4 years of Speech Pathology clinical experienceDemonstrated ability to achieve and exceed performance expectationsStrong leadership, coaching and mentoring skillsProven ability to maintain clinical standards and positive client outcomesExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsStrong organisation and prioritisation abilitiesA collaborative and solutions-focused leadership approach
Essential Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Speech PathologyCurrent Speech Pathology Australia (SPA) membershipCurrent driver's licence and access to a vehicleCurrent CPR and First Aid CertificateWorking With Children Check (or willingness to obtain)NDIS Worker Screening CheckNational Police CheckMedicare Provider Number (or ability to obtain)Ability to travel across multiple sites when required
