About the Role

We're looking for energetic, friendly, and confident people to join the Powerhouse Parramatta Visitor Host team. Full time, Part time and casual opportunities are available. In this role you will create a welcoming and inclusive experience for everyone who visits. You will engage with our visitors, share information, support exhibitions and events, and make sure visitors feel comfortable. The role requires the ability to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, public holidays, depending on programming. This is a fast-paced, hands-on role where every day is different.


This is a targeted role under GSE Rule 26 and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are encouraged to apply.


About You

You are someone who genuinely enjoys connecting with people. Whether meeting someone for the first time or engaging with a diverse crowd, you bring warmth, enthusiasm, and a can-do attitude to every interaction. You thrive in busy, public environments, adapting easily to changing situations while remaining calm and reliable under pressure. Passionate about inclusion and accessibility, you believe everyone should feel welcome, valued, and able to participate fully. Experience in hospitality, retail, festivals, events, customer service or community work is helpful, but not essential.

About Powerhouse

Powerhouse Parramatta is Western Sydney's first state cultural institutions and one of the world's most significant new museum projects. Opening in late 2026 with an anticipated annual visitation of over 2million, the Powerhouse will open with 5 international exhibitions that reflect the ambition of the museum across the applied arts and sciences, culture, industry and innovation. The program has been developed in collaboration with the communities of Western Sydney, and local and international collaborators.
