The Wall and Floor Tiler will be responsible for preparing surfaces and installing a wide range of tiles, including ceramic, porcelain, stone, and mosaic. Working from construction plans and design layouts, you will ensure that all installations are completed to a high standard, in accordance with Australian regulations and project specifications. The role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with other trades on-site.

• Prepare and level surfaces for tiling using a variety of techniques and materials.

• Interpret architectural plans and layout designs for efficient and accurate tile placement.

• Measure, cut, and install tiles using manual and powered tools.

• Apply adhesives, grout, sealants, and protective coatings as required.

• Carry out repairs and maintenance to existing tiled surfaces.

• Adhere to Work Health and Safety (WHS) standards and environmental regulations on all job sites.

• Collaborate with project supervisors, team members, and other trades to ensure smooth workflow and quality delivery.

• Maintain records of work performed, including time on site and materials used.

• Minimum of three years’ full-time experience as a qualified Wall and Floor Tiler following completion of training or apprenticeship.

• Demonstrated experience across a variety of settings including wet areas, kitchens, and outdoor surfaces.

• Proficiency in using tile levelling systems, wet saws, grinders, and other industry tools.

• Comprehensive understanding of Australian Standards for tiling and waterproofing (e.g., AS 3958.1, AS 3740).

• Strong knowledge of WHS requirements and commitment to safe work practices.

• Experience on residential, commercial, or large-scale construction projects is highly desirable.

• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
