About the role
Laverton North, VIC | Full-time | On-the-job Training Provided
Walkers Hammers is seeking a motivated and mechanically minded individual to join our workshop team as a Service Technician Trainee.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop specialist skills in servicing and repairing hydraulic rockbreakers and other excavator and skid steer attachments. Full on-the-job training will be provided by our experienced technicians, giving you the opportunity to build a rewarding long-term career in the heavy equipment industry.
Based in our fully equipped Laverton North workshop, you'll learn how to service, diagnose, repair and rebuild hydraulic rockbreakers and other specialised excavator and skid steer attachments used across mining, quarrying, demolition, construction and recycling industries.
If you enjoy solving mechanical problems, working with your hands and learning new skills every day, we'd love to hear from you.
What you'll learn· Hydraulic attachment servicing and maintenance· Mechanical rebuilds and refurbishments· Hydraulic systems and fault diagnosis· Bench testing and commissioning· Safe workshop practices and specialised tooling· Customer service and technical support
About YouYou are:· Mechanically minded with a genuine interest in heavy equipment· Eager to learn and develop new technical skills· Reliable, self-motivated and safety focused· A team player with a positive attitude· Committed to delivering quality workmanship
Previous experience with hydraulic attachments is not required - we're looking for attitude, willingness to learn and mechanical aptitude.
