About the role
Allied Health Co is seeking a dedicated Psychologist to join our team on a contract basis with a ready to go case load of 20+ Clients. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the healthcare sector, providing psychological assessment, diagnosis and treatment to clients across our service. Based in Gregory Hills, NSW 2557, this role offers the chance to work within a collaborative allied health environment where your expertise will directly contribute to improving patient outcomes and wellbeing.
What you'll be doing
Conducting comprehensive psychological assessments and evaluations to diagnose mental health conditions and behavioural issues
Developing and implementing individualised treatment plans tailored to client needs
Providing evidence-based therapeutic interventions including cognitive-behavioural therapy, counselling and psychological support
Maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation and case notes
Collaborating with other allied health professionals to ensure coordinated and holistic client care
Liaising with external healthcare providers and referral sources as appropriate
Contributing to quality assurance initiatives and clinical best practice standards
Providing professional guidance and support to clients and their families regarding mental health management
What we're looking for
A recognised qualification in Psychology or Clinical Psychology (minimum Bachelor's degree; Masters or Doctorate preferred)
Current registration with the Australian Psychology Board or eligibility to register
Demonstrated experience in psychological assessment, diagnosis and treatment delivery
Strong understanding of evidence-based therapeutic approaches and psychological frameworks
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse client populations
Proficiency in clinical documentation and familiarity with electronic health records systems
Ability to work autonomously whilst maintaining collaborative relationships with multidisciplinary teams
Current First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain
Professional liability insurance or willingness to obtain through the organisation
A commitment to continuing professional development and staying current with evidence-based practices
