O’Brien Boiler Services is seeking an experienced Mechanical Plumber/Welder to join our growing VIC service team.

This is a hands-on, field-based role working on industrial boilers, steam systems, combustion equipment and process heat systems across a wide range of industrial and commercial sites throughout Victoria.

• $45–$60 per hour (based on experience)

• Service, maintenance and repair of industrial boilers and steam systems

• Mechanical fault finding and diagnostics on plant and equipment

• Commissioning and start-up of industrial equipment

• Installation and maintenance of mechanical systems and associated components

• Servicing gas trains, burners and combustion equipment

• Supporting plant upgrades, shutdowns and efficiency improvements

• Maintaining strong client relationships while working on-site

• Preparing service reports and maintaining accurate documentation

• Mechanical Trade Qualification (Fitter & Turner, Mechanical Fitter or similar)

• Industrial maintenance or field service experience

• Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills

• Current manual driver’s licence

• White Card

• Type B Gas Licence or willingness to obtain

• Experience with boilers, steam or combustion systems

• Steel Welding experience

• Background in manufacturing, food processing, packaging, or industrial process environments

• Experience working autonomously in field service roles

• Regular travel across VIC required

• Occasional overnight stays

• Participation in on-call roster
