Who We Are

Roofrite is a second-generation, family-owned roofing business with roots in Melbourne's inner north. We've been operating in the area since 1993, and have been based in Preston since 2019 though today our work takes us all over Metropolitan Melbourne. We're mid-sized, specialist, and genuinely respected across the residential and remedial sector.

Our work spans architectural residential builds, remediation and rectification, reroofs, and skylight installations. Our clients include homeowners, builders, architects, body corporate and strata managers, and property managers. We're members of the Master Plumbers Association and aim to improve our industry by delivering a consistently high standard of compliant workmanship.

People are at the centre of how we run this business. We invest in training, maintain a great toolshed, and when the job's done early, you get to go home on full pay. And we take you out to lunch on your birthday!

Leading Hand - $56-$64 per hour + Company Vehicle
The pay range reflects your level of experience and it's deliberately broad. If you're at the lower end, you'll be managing smaller residential projects with a small crew and building your on-site capabilities. At the higher end, we expect someone who can run complex rectification projects with a larger team — coordinating trades, managing client relationships, overseeing site safety and delivering outcomes that meet a high compliance bar.

This is a hands-on leading role. You'll lead a small crew of 2x roof plumbers. You'll be supported on site by either a second leading hand and/or a qualified roof plumber plus a third - typically either another qualified or an apprentice. When you need it, for technical support and project guidance, our Operations Manager is on stand-by but you'll be trusted to run your team with confidence, leading by example — on the tools alongside your crew.
