Product Manager - Connected Solutions | Gas Detection

Reporting into the Pacific Manager – Product Management, the new Product Manager – Connected Solutions will be based at our Notting Hill head office in Melbourne and enjoy flexibility, a healthy work-life balance, and have the option of hybrid working. You will play a key role in satisfying local market requirements through strategic portfolio positioning planning.

Key responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

• Manage product launches and lifecycle to grow market share, in collaboration with Product & Marketing Managers;
• Establish pricing and monitor gross profit performance for the relevant product portfolio, based on global/regional strategy and local competition;
• Analyse sales funnel performance and identify root-causes of underperformance, resolving issues with corrective & preventive measures alongside Regional Sales Managers;
• Provide technical and commercial sales support via demonstrations, presentations and localised sales tools for gas detection products;
• Deliver internal product training to commercial teams to ensure consistent messaging that drives growth;
• Influence the engagement of key opinion leaders to maintain positive brand perception;
• Collaborate cross-functionally to support the tender process and to align with regulatory affairs;
• Apply a compliance focused mindset across all operations, and;
• Always ensure a safety-first approach.

The ideal candidate will be equipped with the following attributes:

• Tertiary qualification in technical, scientific, business, marketing or relevant discipline;
• Previous experience in Product Management, Marketing or Technical Sales (essential);
• Relevant experience within the safety industry (preferred);
• Product application knowledge relevant to the portfolio (highly advantageous);
• Understands target customers’ challenges and workflows;
• Proven knowledge of IoT, Bluetooth connectivity and basic IT interfaces;
• Advanced presentation skills;
• Adaptability and readiness to handle multiple, changing priorities in a fast-paced environment;
• Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn;
• Exemplary understanding of compliance rules and ability to act as a role model in upholding and promoting compliance standards, and;
• Excellent cross-functional, relationship building, communication, interpersonal, organisational, problem-solving, critical thinking and task management skills.

A Police Check will be required for this position.
