Field OH&S Advisor - Residential Construction

The opportunity

As Mirrastone continues to grow, we are looking for an additional Work Health and Safety Advisor to join our team.

This is a full-time, ongoing position that will predominantly involve travelling between our building sites across Melbourne’s North-Western suburbs as well as cover some regional sites from time to time.

You will report to our Work Health and Safety Manager, who is supportive, transparent, engaging and leads by example.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

Conducting site safety inspections and reporting findingsParticipating in audits and assisting with safety documentationEnsuring contractors are properly inducted and comply with company policies, procedures and relevant legislationConducting onsite toolbox meetingsReporting incidents, hazards, injuries and near missesCollating safety data and statistics for company reportingAssisting with the WHS components of employee and contractor inductionsSupporting and educating employees and contractors on site safety requirementsContinuing to develop your knowledge of residential construction safety and auditing

About You

We are looking for someone who:

Has experience working in the Residential Construction space in AustraliaHas a genuine passion for workplace safety and complianceIs eager to learn and build a career within the residential construction industryIs confident educating and guiding others on safety requirementsCan build strong relationships with employees, contractors, suppliers, regulators and authoritiesHas a strong work ethic and takes ownership of their responsibilitiesIs comfortable working independently and travelling between sitesWorks well as part of a teamIs proficient in Microsoft Office
