About the role
About the Opportunity
As the Waste and Resource Recovery Service Coordinator, you'll play a role in coordinating the day-to-day delivery of waste and resource recovery services across the City. Working closely with contractors, internal teams and the community, you'll help ensure services are delivered effectively, issues are resolved quickly and customer expectations are met.
Supporting the Lead, Waste and Resource Recovery, you'll bring your operational knowledge and problem-solving skills to service coordination, contractor performance, reporting and continuous improvement. You'll monitor service performance, contribute to project and contract management, and use data and industry knowledge to identify opportunities to improve how services are delivered.
You'll also have the opportunity to contribute to projects that support the City's waste and resource recovery priorities, including supporting initiatives that contribute to the City's 80% waste diversion target and broader sustainability goals. From investigating new technologies, processes and service improvements to preparing reports, supporting business planning and coordinating responses to complex service issues, you'll apply sound judgement, take initiative and work collaboratively to deliver practical outcomes.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working across operations, projects and customer service, and wants to make a tangible difference to the way waste and resource recovery services are delivered across the city.
