Shift Manager

About the role

Get Chunky is seeking Shift Managers to oversee and run open, day, and closing shifts at our two new stores in Currambine and Leederville. We hand-make chunky NY style cookies from scratch using high quality ingredients sourced from local suppliers. As a family owned and operated business, we are looking for likeminded team members set on delivering confident, friendly customer service from start to finish.

Key responsibilities

• Lead by example when it comes to friendly and welcoming customer service
• Oversee customer enquiries or issues with transactions or orders
• Train new staff during the onboarding process
• Manage staff performance through regular feedback, coaching and training
• Motivate staff to uphold our culture and values, to foster a positive and inclusive work environment
• Ensure the FOH of each site is well presented and well prepared for daily service
• Bake and prep stock items and ingredients for service
• Oversee requests for ordering of ingredients and packaging
• Oversee all staff on site and allocate tasks as needed
• Assist with rostering issues such as shift swaps or covers in rostering software

About you

• Experience in a similar role
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills and a keen eye for detail
• Ability to multitask and problem solve on the go
• Ability to remain calm when working under pressure
• Proficient with Excel
• Experience using Tanda preferred
• Experience with managing, leading, and training staff
• Flexibility to work weekdays, weekends and nights
• Previous experience with grab and go dining preferred
