Care Assistants

The Opportunity: 

Newcastle Anglican are seeking Care Assistants to join their team at Mirrabooka Place - Gloucester NSW.. You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team providing excellent care to seniors in our residential aged care homes. 

This role offers an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and energetic individual looking to gain further experience in a great team environment. You will have the opportunity to make every moment matter by bringing respect, compassion, integrity and enhancing the wellbeing of our residents and consumers. 

Currently there are a range of permanent shifts available:

• Weekend morning (0630-1500) + afternoon shifts (1445-2045) 
• Weekday short shifts (1600-2000)
• Weekday + weekend night shifts (2045-0645)

 About you? 

• Certificate III Individual Support / Cert III Heath Service Assistance or BA Nursing Students 2nd + 3rd Yr
• Current First Aid Certificate (ongoing requirement) or willing to obtain
• An ability to work effectively as an individual and within a team
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to accurately document residents care/progress

Role & Responsibilities:  

• Actively promote Anglican Care’s positive culture through interactions with residents, staff and their families
• Consistent delivery of person centered care to residents in our facilities
• Observe confidentiality matters at all times associated with documentation and communications
• Abide by Aged Care Standards
• Work as an effective team member
