About the role:
The AOD Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) Team Leader provides strategic, operational and clinical leadership for the Alcohol and Other Drugs team within the Emergency Department Mental Health and AOD Hubs at Sunshine and Footscray Hospitals. This is an influential leadership role that combines service management, clinical excellence and workforce development to ensure the delivery of high-quality, consumer-centred care for people presenting with alcohol and other drug needs.
Key responsibilities include leading and supporting the AOD CNC workforce, overseeing day-to-day service operations, providing expert clinical guidance, and working collaboratively with Emergency Department, Drug Health Services and multidisciplinary partners. The role also drives service innovation, quality improvement, education, research and evidence-based practice while fostering a positive, high-performing team culture.
