Casual Sales Assistant

Our vibrant Marrickville store is seeking a friendly, energetic, and enthusiastic person for September start.

We are looking for someone to join our small team on a casual basis that has availability to work weekends and some Thursday nights. We are offering a minimum of 15-18 hours per week, but with flexibility to pick up extra days when needed. 

During the Christmas period (late November - January) there is the opportunity to pick up additional shifts. Note that we do require full availability to ensure all shifts are covered during the busiest period of the retail year.

The position will require availability to work full-day shifts (e.g. 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM) and is not suitable for school-aged applicants. 

What we’re looking for: 

● Someone who is happy working as part of a small team as well as autonomously

● Bring energy & enthusiasm to the shop floor to create a welcoming store environment

● Flexibility & ability to adapt to fast-paced retail environment

● Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately and efficiently

Key Responsibilities:

● Delivering outstanding customer service

● Receiving and processing deliveries

● Packing and dispatching online orders

● Restocking shelves and merchandising stock 

● Maintaining store cleanliness and presentation

Essential Requirements:

● Retail and customer service experience

● Experience in visual merchandising

● Flexible availability, and the ability to take on extra shifts in the lead-up to Christmas
