We are active in the provision of a comprehensive range of social welfare services, catering the needs from cradle to seniors, including residential aged care, home ageing, disability, settlement and health, employment and training, child care and many more community-based services.
The Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced aged care professional to join our team as a Care Manager at our brand-new, 97-bed Residential Aged Care Facility (RACF) located in Asquith, NSW. This RACF is the second installation operated by CASS and it has commenced operation in May 2024 servicing the multicultural communities, including but not limited to Koreans, Malaysians, Chinese and the general public. In this position, you will work collaboratively with another Care Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations, ensuring safe, person-centred high-quality care and compliance with regulatory standards.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
As Care Manager, you will take charge of care services delivery, ensuring that:
The day-to-day care service delivery is managed effectively and efficiently, achieving a high standard throughout the facility with best practice in clinical and lifestyle care aligned with the Aged Care Act 2024 and its subordinate principles (including those services provided by external contractors, e.g., cleaning/catering/laundry/allied health wherever and whenever appropriate);
The facility is adequately and appropriately equipped to enable quality clinical care; and
Care delivery and culture between management, staff members and consumers display commitment to quality, and keep a positive and happy attitude and spirit among residents, families and staff members.
Budgeting, financial planning, staff management & appraisals, training, AN-ACC, Quality Standards Audit, liaising with key stakeholders, WHS and continuous improvement will also be part of your duties.
Skills, knowledge and experience required:
Current registration with AHPRA as a registered nurse;
Minimum 3 years of experience in a Care Manager role or equivalent;
Deep knowledge of the aged care industry, regulations and funding;
Demonstrated compliance results and a strong commitment to excellence and continuous quality improvement with a sound working knowledge of the Strengthened Quality Standards and audit;
Demonstrated experience, knowledge and understanding of the AN-ACC assessment;
Understanding of care planning procedures;
Experience with people leadership and change management;
Demonstrated leadership in managing in‑charge responsibilities;
Able to work as part of a diverse and multi- disciplinary team;
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
Have good command of English both spoken and in writing;
Good computer skills and familiarity with an IT care system, and ability to learn new systems;
Current National Police Certificate;
Current Australian Financial Security Authority Check;
Current flu vaccination certificate; and
Ability to speak and write an Asian language, such as Korean, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese), etc. is desirable.
