About the role
Oral Health Services Tasmania is the statewide dental provider for eligible Tasmanians. The service is divided into Adult, Prosthetic and Childrens services. The Laboratory assistant is responsible for ensuring the workflow of traditional and digital prosthetic devices. This position is in the south and supports a team of dental professionals in monitoring and assisting workflow and manufacture of dental appliances.
The Role:The Laboratory Assistant assists the Laboratory Manager in establishing and maintaining a workflow for dental technicians and dental prosthetists. The assist with the pouring and trimming of models, manufacture of trays, mouthguards and splints, internal administrative processes, receiving and dispatching of goods.

Details of appointment:Fixed term full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible until 29 January 2027.
*Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Position Features:$70,033 to $75,114 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
