La-Z-Boy is one of the world’s most recognised names in comfort, with a proud heritage spanning almost 100 years. As we continue to grow our Australian retail network, we are excited to be opening a new La-Z-Boy store at Crossroads Homemaker Centre, Casula.

We are looking for an experienced and driven Store Manager to lead this new location from the beginning.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a strong retail leader who enjoys building a team, driving sales, developing people and creating a high-performance store culture.

The Role

As Store Manager, you will take ownership of the overall performance of the Casula store. You will lead from the floor, working alongside your team to deliver an outstanding customer experience while achieving sales and KPI expectations.

As this is a new store, you will also have the opportunity to help establish the culture, standards and routines from day one.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading, coaching and motivating the sales team to achieve individual and store targets

• Driving sales, conversion, average sale and other key retail KPIs

• Creating a strong sales culture where every customer opportunity counts

• Leading from the floor and actively supporting the team with customers and closing sales

• Coaching team members who are below benchmark and recognising those achieving great results

• Ensuring quotes and customer opportunities are followed up consistently

• Maintaining high standards of showroom presentation, merchandising and ticketing

• Managing daily operations and store administration

• Ensuring company policies, procedures and WHS requirements are followed

• Conducting regular team huddles, training and performance discussions

• Building a positive, accountable and results-focused team environment

About You

We are looking for someone who is comfortable being accountable for results and who genuinely enjoys developing people.

You will ideally have:

• Previous retail management experience, preferably within furniture, bulky goods or a consultative sales environment

• A proven ability to lead a sales team and achieve targets

• Strong understanding of retail KPIs and how to turn results into action

• Confidence coaching, developing and performance-managing team members

• A hands-on leadership style – you won't manage from behind a desk

• Strong communication and organisational skills

• A customer-focused approach with the ability to resolve issues professionally

• The ability to create structure, consistency and accountability within a team

• A positive attitude and the drive to build a successful store from the ground up
