About the Role  

Reporting to the Team Coordinator Rostering, the Rostering Officer plays a critical role in coordinating Support Worker schedules to ensure high-quality outcomes for Participants. As the primary point of contact for roster matters, you will maintain accurate, responsive and compliant rosters in a dynamic operational environment.

This is a fast-paced, high-volume, phone-based role requiring sound judgement, strong organisational skills and the ability to think on your feet.

This position is offered on an initial 6-month contract with the potential for extension.

Key responsibilities include:

• Provide professional and responsive customer service to Support Workers and internal stakeholders
• Coordinate and maintain rolling fortnightly rosters, including shift swaps, TBAs, leave coverage and staffing changes
• Ensure all vacant shifts are filled in a timely and efficient manner
• Liaise with Program Area Coordinators and the People and Culture team as required
• Ensure rostering practices comply with all relevant Industrial, Legislative and organisational requirements
• Communicate roster changes clearly and professionally
• Provide high-quality administrative support and maintain accurate records

You will be able to clearly demonstrate:

• Previous experience in rostering and/or workforce scheduling
• Experience working in a fast-paced customer service or call-centre environment
• The ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines
• Strong interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills
• A professional and accountable approach to your work
• The ability to receive and apply constructive feedback
• Strong administrative and organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail
• Systems capability in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word etc.) and experience using MYP rostering software (highly desirable)
• A demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development
• An understanding of and respect for the values and philosophy of a not-for-profit organisation

A tertiary qualification in Business Administration and/or relevant experience will be highly regarded.

Successful candidates will be required to clear background checks including National Police and pre-employment medical checks, a NDIS Workers Screening Check and Working with Vulnerable Check.
