About The Opportunity
You'll be joining a collaborative Infrastructure team responsible for supporting and evolving More's cloud environment. As the business continues to grow, the team is focused on ensuring a secure, reliable and scalable Azure platform that supports critical business services. Working closely with infrastructure, networking, security and application teams, you'll contribute to cloud initiatives that drive operational excellence, continuous improvement and long-term platform maturity.
As an Azure Cloud Engineer, you’ll will be responsible for the day-to-day operational management, governance, optimization, and continuous improvement of workloads migrated from on-premises environments to Microsoft Azure. This role ensures the stability, security, availability, and performance of Azure-hosted infrastructure while providing technical leadership and stakeholder engagement across infrastructure, networking, security, application, and business teams.
Key Responsibilities
Platform Operations – Maintain the health, performance, and security of Azure infrastructure, including patching, backup validation, disaster recovery readiness, monitoring, capacity planning, and documentation. Service Management – Provide L2/L3 support and lead incident, problem, and change management activities, including root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives. Agile Delivery – Contribute to sprint planning, backlog refinement, and the delivery of operational improvements within an Agile environment. Security & Compliance – Partner with Cyber Security and Risk teams to maintain security controls, support remediation activities, and assist with audits and compliance requirements. Governance & Stakeholder Management – Ensure adherence to Azure governance standards and collaborate with Infrastructure, Security, Network, Application, and Business teams to deliver reliable and secure services.

Confidently manage and optimise Azure environments, ensuring platforms remain secure, reliable, high performing, and well governed.Take ownership of operational support activities, including incidents, changes, maintenance, and service requests, while driving continuous improvement.Build strong working relationships with infrastructure, security, network, application, and business teams to deliver operational excellence.Thrive in an Agile environment and contribute to delivering improvements through iterative ways of working.Proactively identify opportunities to improve monitoring, automation, costs, documentation, capacity planning, and platform performance.Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose issues and implement effective solutions.Work independently while collaborating effectively with engineering, security, and IT operations stakeholders.Bring a solid understanding of cloud operations, governance, service management practices, and hybrid infrastructure environments.
About You
We don’t expect you to tick every box but we’re looking for someone with a strong foundation across several of the following skills:
3+ years' hands-on experience designing, implementing, and supporting Microsoft Azure solutions (VMs, Storage, Networking, Backup/Recovery Services Vaults)..NET development experience.Proficiency in PowerShell and Python for scripting and automation.Working knowledge of Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.Proficiency with Git and CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps or GitHub).Sound understanding of security fundamentals (RBAC, NSGs, Azure Firewall, Private Endpoints) and identity management (Microsoft Entra ID, Conditional Access/MFA).Experience within Agile/Scrum delivery teams, balancing business-as-usual support with iterative improvement work.

Azure API Management (APIM).Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates).Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).Security tooling (Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Sentinel).Governance and cost management tooling (Azure Policy, Management Groups/Blueprints, Cost Management, Advisor).Key Vault, Azure Backup, and Azure Site Recovery.ITSM and Agile tooling (ServiceNow, Jira/Azure Boards, Confluence).Reporting and observability tools (Power BI, Azure Monitor Workbooks, Grafana, New Relic).Familiarity with AI-assisted tools (e.g. Claude, Copilot) for automation, documentation, or troubleshooting.Telecommunications industry experience.Microsoft Azure certifications.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
