**This is a 6-months contract / temporary role for immediate start**
We are seeking an Assistant Accountant – Assets to join the team at ATF Services Pty Limited in Seven Hills, NSW. This is a 6-months contract for immediate start, offering an excellent opportunity to work alongside a supportive and experienced team in a positive environment, while gaining valuable experience across the finance and asset functions.
As an Assistant Accountant, you will work closely with the Senior Asset Accountant in supporting our asset accounting function, with a particular focus on maintaining accurate asset and inventory records, reconciliations and reporting. You will work closely with our experienced accounting and operational teams, gaining valuable exposure to both accounting processes and asset management.
This is an on-site role based in Seven Hills, providing an opportunity to work collaboratively with a knowledgeable and supportive team while developing your skills and experience across the broader finance function.
What you'll be doing
Assist with fixed asset and inventory accounting, including additions, disposals, transfers and reconciliations.
Reconciling accounts and ensuring the accuracy of financial records.
Supporting the month-end closing processes.
Process and review purchase orders, invoices and expense claims in accordance with company procedures.
Identify discrepancies and work with relevant teams to resolve accounting and data issues.
What we're looking for
A qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline, or relevant accounting qualifications such as CPA or CA membership (or studies in progress)
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
Previous experience or familiarity with asset accounting will be highly regarded
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all accounting work
Good organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Prior experience in an accounting role or similar financial environment is desirable
