About the role
Samford State School Outside School Hours Care
About the RoleWe are seeking a passionate and experienced Educational Leader to lead the planning, implementation and evaluation of our OSHC educational program.
Working closely with the Coordinator, Assistant Coordinator and programming team, you will lead a collaborative approach to programming, mentor Educators and ensure our program reflects My Time, Our Place, our service philosophy and the interests, strengths and needs of the children.
Hours: Minimum 28 hours per week, including 16 hours of non-contact time.
Roster: Three 8-hour days, with BSC and/or ASC across the remaining two days.
Lead the planning, implementation, documentation and evaluation of the educational program.
Drive the ongoing cycle of planning, reflection and continuous improvement.
Support Educators to understand and implement My Time, Our Place through mentoring and professional guidance.
Lead and support the programming team, including Room Leaders, Outdoor Leader and Family and Community Leader.
Develop engaging, play-based experiences that respond to children’s interests, ideas, strengths and needs.
Lead the development of vacation care programs within required timeframes and budgets.
Facilitate daily Educator huddles to support communication, planning and team coordination.
Promote positive guidance strategies and meaningful interactions with children.
Support professional development, induction, mentoring and performance of Educators.
Gather feedback from children, families, Educators and the wider community to inform continuous improvement.
Support compliance with policies, procedures, National Quality Standards and the Quality Improvement Plan.
Promote inclusion and meaningful connections to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures.
Maintain accurate programming documentation and ensure resources are effectively managed.
Work collaboratively with the Coordinator and Assistant Coordinator to support the effective operation of the service.
