Grantz Dining Room, located within TRYP by Wyndham Southport Gold Coast, is seeking a passionate and experienced Qualified Chef to join our growing culinary team.

We are looking for a motivated professional who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen, takes pride in producing exceptional food, and is committed to delivering outstanding dining experiences for our guests.

As a Qualified Chef, you will play an integral role in the daily operation of our kitchen, preparing high-quality dishes while maintaining exceptional food safety and presentation standards. You will work closely with the Head Chef and kitchen team to deliver an innovative and consistent menu across breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special events.

• Prepare, cook and present high-quality dishes in accordance with restaurant standards.

• Assist with menu planning and seasonal menu development.

• Ensure consistency in food quality, presentation and portion control.

• Maintain a clean, organised and hygienic kitchen environment.

• Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and stock rotation.

• Minimise food waste and contribute to effective kitchen cost control.

• Adhere to all food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety regulations.

• Work collaboratively with the kitchen and front-of-house teams to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

• Assist in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff where required.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• A Certificate III or Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent qualification).

• A minimum of 5 years' experience working as a qualified chef in a busy restaurant, hotel or hospitality environment.

• Strong knowledge of modern Australian cuisine and contemporary cooking techniques.

• Excellent organisational and time management skills.

• The ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards.

• A positive attitude, strong work ethic and team-focused approach.

• Availability to work a flexible roster across a 7-day week, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.

• Full Australian working rights (Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or unrestricted work visa).

• Competitive salary of $79,000 – $89,000 plus superannuation, based on experience.
