About the Opportunity

We are currently partnering with a large organisation that are seeking experienced, highly skilled and commercially minded Procurement professionals to own the day-to-day direction and momentum of a critical national sourcing program. This project represents a significant opportunity to drive sustainable value and requires a strategic thinker who can navigate ambiguity, build alignment, and drive timely decisions across a diverse stakeholder group.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement category strategies that identify, structure, and execute opportunities to drive commercial value while managing supply risk and operational requirements.
• Reduce total cost of ownership by making informed risk trade-offs and executing these through the end-to-end sourcing cycle.
• Deliver outcomes through fact-based insights, robust analytics, and targeted strategic actions.
• Lead all aspects of procurement, including requirements definition, baseline development, sourcing, negotiation, savings validation, contract execution, and ongoing contract management.
• Engage and influence stakeholders across various business functions (including Operations, HSE, Finance, and Legal) to align priorities and deliver project outcomes.
• Maintain awareness of external trends, including market dynamics, innovation, and emerging risks.
• Challenge existing ways of working and facilitate decisions in complex, high-pressure environments. Communicate strategies clearly to all levels, from senior leadership to operational teams.
