Sous Chef for Flinders Lane Wine Bar/Bistro

No. 100 is all about serving up modern Lebanese dining, great wine and great service to Flinders Lane. Our seasonal menu showcases all the best classic Lebanese flavours re-imagined and plated in a fresh, modern and refined setting.

An intimate venue that sees locals who frequent the ‘Paris end’ of the city, and office workers looking for a little escape. We are open Monday to Saturday, from lunchtime until late.

About the opportunity:

We are on the hunt for an experienced Sous Chef to join the team and help us make our vision come true. We are looking for a passionate and motivated person who is keen for a challenge and is committed to producing the very best at all times. Chef positions demand a high level of experience, organisation & contemporary flair to produce elegant, unforgettable food experiences.

The Sous Chef will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in managing the day-to-day operation of the kitchen (including running service, mis-en-place, minimising wastage and ordering) and for leading by example and maintaining the high standard in the absence of the Head Chef.

Requirements from you

• Applicable trade qualifications and accreditations

• Previous experience in busy cafe, restaurant and/or fine-dining environments

• Creativity and knowledge of current food trends

• Takes great pride and passion in the food you produce

• Aptitude for preparation and planning, with strong organisational skills

• A natural team player who is happy to do their own thing when necessary but also loves the synergy of a great team

• Personal presentation & communication skills are imperative, along with a positive energy & attitude!

• Driven, ambitious and committed!

• Calm and collected - keeps a clear head and stays focused when it gets busy

• Flexibility to work both daytime and nighttime service is essential
