Looking for a trade that's a little different?

Regional Fire Protection is looking for a motivated person to join our team as a Fire Sprinkler Fitter Apprentice, completing a Certificate III in Fire Protection.

This is an opportunity to learn a specialised trade while working hands-on alongside experienced fire protection technicians across a wide variety of commercial, industrial and specialist sites.

No previous fire protection experience is required. We're looking for someone with the right attitude, who enjoys practical work and wants to build a long-term career in the fire protection industry.

What does a Fire Sprinkler Fitter do?

Fire sprinkler fitters install, service, maintain and test the systems designed to protect buildings and their occupants in the event of a fire.

During your apprenticeship, you'll gain hands-on experience working with:

• Automatic fire sprinkler systems

• Fire hydrant systems

• Fire pumps and water storage tanks

• Fire hose reel systems

• Pipework, valves and associated equipment

• Testing, servicing and maintenance of fire protection systems

• New installations and system upgrades

• Fault finding and repairs

You'll work across a variety of commercial and industrial sites throughout Mildura and regional areas, giving you exposure to both new installations and existing fire protection systems.

About You

We're not expecting you to already know the trade — that's what the apprenticeship is for.

We're looking for someone who:

• Is reliable and turns up ready to work

• Has a strong work ethic and positive attitude

• Enjoys hands-on and practical work

• Is willing to learn and take direction

• Works well as part of a team

• Takes pride in doing a job properly

• Is comfortable working with tools and equipment

• Is willing to undertake occasional regional and away work

• Is committed to completing their Certificate III apprenticeship

• Holds a current driver's licence – essential

School leavers, people looking to start their first trade and mature-age applicants are all encouraged to apply.

Accreditation with FPAS (Fire Protection Accreditation Scheme) would be well regarded.
