Behaviour Therapy Assistant –

Kempsey (Primarily) & Port Macquarie Casual & Flexible Shifts

Desirable Qualifications

• Certificate III (or higher) in Individual Support, Disability, or a related field
• Experience or training in dementia care, diabetes management, personal care support, and/or supporting people with ASD or intellectual disability will be highly regarded.
• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Compassionate and patient approach to care.
• Candidates would preferably have Australian permanent residency or citizenship to be eligible for this position.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Supporting people with complex needs and trauma backgrounds
• Providing respectful personal care and daily living support
• Implementing behaviour support strategies with guidance from our therapy team
• Helping clients build independence, confidence and connection
• Being part of a team that asks “What one problem can we fix this month?”

 What You’ll Need

• Two professional references
• Willingness to work with complex behaviours and health needs
• NDIS Worker Check, Working With Children Check, First Aid, Police Check and Driver’s Licence
• A heart for people and a head for safety
