About the role
Job reference: 854076
Location: Adelaide CBD
Temporary appointments up to 12 months (multiple vacancies)
ASO6 - $105,747 to $111,854 pa + superannuation
The Department for Infrastructure and Transport plays a vital role connecting people and places in South Australia by delivering a multi-billion-dollar pipeline of transport and social infrastructure projects, operating and maintaining thousands of kilometres of roads and managing our city's public transport network.
The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced developer to play a key role in enhancing and supporting one of South Australia's most important digital systems, TRUMPS, which underpins vehicle registration and licensing across the state.
As a Senior Developer, you'll lead complex development and improvement projects, working closely with skilled developers, architects, and business stakeholders to design and deliver effective technical solutions.
You'll also provide guidance and mentoring to other developers, helping to build a collaborative, high-performing team focused on quality and innovation. If you're ready to take on challenging work that makes a real difference, we'd love to hear from you.
About you
You are an experienced developer who enjoys solving complex problems and finding smarter, more efficient ways to get things done. You bring solid Java expertise along with hands-on experience in technologies like AWS, SQL, JPA, REST APIs, CI tools, Maven, and HTML5.
You are comfortable working in agile teams and can easily switch between collaborating with others and tackling tasks on your own. You take ownership of your work, adapt quickly to change, and always look for ways to improve. You communicate clearly and work well with people at all levels, building trust, resolving challenges, and keeping projects moving forward.
Educational Qualifications / Licences
Formal qualifications in Computer Science or related IT discipline.
