About the role
THE ROLE:
We're looking for an HR Advisor to support the day-to-day delivery of HR activities across the employee lifecycle. Reporting to our HR Manager, you'll take the lead on onboarding, offboarding, HRIS accuracy, and workplace health and safety, while helping build a workplace culture where people feel genuinely supported and enabled to do their best work.
This is a great opportunity for a curious and proactive HR generalist to join a growing fashion business and work across a genuinely varied mix of teams and locations. You'll get exposure to retail, warehouse, online customer service, and support office, plus markets outside Australia, including New Zealand and the United States.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO):
Coordinate employee lifecycle transactions new starters, employment changes, and exits.
Prepare and issue employment contracts, contract variations, and employment eligibility checks.
Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes end-to-end in partnership with the Recruitment Lead.
Respond to employee enquiries relating to employment terms, conditions and general HR processes and escalate complex matters.
Support the development, implementation, and review of HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant workplace laws and regulations.
Ensure team members and managers can access current HR documentation in a seamless, engaging manner.
Support workplace health and safety activities, assist in monitoring compliance, and educate managers and team members on their health and safety obligations.
Support the coordination of compliance training activities across the business, such as first aid and fire warden training, helping maintain certifications and registers.
Support wellbeing programs such as the Employee Assistance Program (EAP), including promotion and provider liaison, and the annual flu program.
Maintain accurate employee data in the HRIS, including employee changes, ensuring records are up to date.
Assist with HR reporting, insight, and continuous improvement of systems and processes.
Support our Recruitment Lead with recruitment activity as needed
ABOUT YOU:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Business, or a related discipline.
Minimum of 2–3 years' experience in a generalist HR role in a retail or similar fast-paced industry.
Working knowledge of the Fair Work Act and Australian employment legislation.
A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a strong can-do attitude.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes.
Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with a sharp eye for detail.
Able to demonstrate a high level of discretion, integrity, and professionalism.
