Dental Assistant / Receptionist – Job Description

We are seeking a friendly, reliable and motivated Dental Assistant / Receptionist to join our growing dental practice on a permanent part-time basis.

The successful candidate will work closely with our dentists and the wider team to provide excellent patient care while assisting with both clinical and front-desk duties.

Key Responsibilities Dental Assisting

• Assist dentists during a range of dental procedures.
• Prepare and set up treatment rooms before appointments.
• Sterilise and maintain dental instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control standards.
• Clean and disinfect treatment rooms and equipment.
• Prepare dental materials and instruments as required.
• Assist with maintaining a clean, organised and safe clinical environment.
• Support dentists and patients throughout appointments.
• Follow all practice infection control, workplace health and safety procedures.

Reception

• Greet patients in a warm, friendly and professional manner.
• Answer phone calls and respond to patient enquiries.
• Schedule, confirm and manage patient appointments.
• Manage patient records and update information accurately.
• Process payments and assist with general administrative duties.
• Handle patient enquiries professionally and confidentially.
• Assist with recalls, treatment follow-ups and appointment reminders.
• Maintain a welcoming and organised reception area.

Availability:
Our ideal candidate will be available to work every Wednesday and Friday on a permanent basis. Availability on additional days would be a bonus!
