KYC Account Maintenance Analyst – 12-Month Contract

About the role

The Account Management Team is responsible for ensuring that KYC documentation and account maintenance activities throughout the client lifecycle are maintained in line with global standards and local regulatory requirements. In this role, you will support a broad range of KYC and client lifecycle activities across different risk levels, working closely with Sales, Compliance, Global Financial Crimes and other stakeholders across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Support operational processes relating to KYC reviews and account maintenance across all client risk levels.
• Conduct Client Identification Program (CIP), KYC and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) reviews.
• Conduct Politically Exposed Persons (PEP) reviews and assess relevant risk triggers.
• Review client and Sales documentation, identifying missing, incomplete or inconsistent information.
• Review and validate information impacting ML/TF risk, including Source of Wealth, Source of Funds and Total Net Worth.
• Complete periodic and event-driven reviews in accordance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure appropriate documentation and approval records are accurately maintained within internal systems.
• Monitor outstanding documentation and ensure reviews are completed within required timeframes.
• Partner closely with Sales teams to provide KYC and AML/CTF guidance and improve the quality of client due diligence.
• Respond to and resolve queries from Sales, Global Financial Crimes, Compliance Testing and Audit teams.

About you

• Strong knowledge of KYC, CIP, AML/CTF requirements and client documentation.
• Experience reviewing ownership structures, trigger events, Source of Wealth and Source of Funds.
• Strong understanding of financial services regulations and industry best practice.
• Previous experience in KYC, client onboarding, periodic reviews, event-driven reviews or client lifecycle management.
• Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• The ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining a high standard of quality and timeliness.
• Strong communication skills and the confidence to work with stakeholders across different levels of seniority.
• A proactive approach with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Banking or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
• 5+ years' relevant experience within financial services is preferred.
