Dental Hygienist/Therapist

Deakin Dental Care is a privately owned general dental practice located in the affluent inner south Canberra suburb of Deakin. The practice offers all facets of general dentistry including IV sedations, implants and surgical extractions.

We are looking for a friendly, reliable and patient centric Hygienist or Oral Health Therapist to join our team.

About the role:

• Flexible days and hours but ideally 2-3 days per week
• Working closely with an experienced Principal Dentist and Senior Associate Dentist
• A long-term, loyal patient base wanting treatment with a hygienist or OHT
• Room to grow to a full-time role over time
• Busy books from the get go
• Friendly team of support staff and an experienced Practice Manager to support you
• Brand new chair and a fully digital practice with onsite OPG and happy gas facilities

About you:

• A friendly, empathetic approach - we have a large, long-term, loyal patient base but they are also anxious about treatment so being able to provide that friendly, welcoming atmosphere to all patients
• Be able to work collaboratively with our team of dentists to provide our patients with a wholistic treatment experience
• Want to work - we are a busy 4-chair practice and our books are full, there definitely won't be hours of down time
• Be willing to do own steri and turnover of rooms and help in other areas occassionally
• Hold working rights in Australia
• Hold relevant qualifications, registration and insurance to enable you to work as a hygienist or OHT in Australia
• Be a team player and work well with dental assistants, receptionists and a practice manager
• Rate of pay is negotiable depending on experience

Pay: $66,353.52 – $147,082.52 per year
