Headquartered in Sydney with an on-site showroom, the company is proudly Australian owned and operates nationally and throughout New Zealand.Role Description This internship role is for an Industrial Designer based on-site in Artarmon, NSW. The intern will assist with concept development and refinement for stretch ceiling and architectural membrane projects, translating design briefs into practical and visually compelling solutions. Day-to-day tasks include contributing to product design and development, supporting prototyping activities, preparing drawings and documentation, and collaborating with the design team on project specifications and budgeting. The role involves working closely with senior designers to apply design thinking principles, conduct material and application research, and ensure designs are feasible for fabrication and installation. The intern will also help prepare presentations and design packages for clients across multiple sectors.Qualifications Industrial Design and Product Design skills, with the ability to develop practical and aesthetic solutions for architectural and interior applications.Prototyping and Product Development experience, including model making, basic fabrication, and iterative testing of design concepts.Design Thinking capabilities, with a user-centered approach to problem solving and an understanding of project constraints and feasibility.Currently studying or recently completed a degree or diploma in Industrial Design or a closely related discipline.Proficiency in relevant CAD and design software (e.g., SolidWorks, Rhino, AutoCAD, or similar) and strong visual communication skills.Attention to detail, sound documentation skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a workshop and studio environment.Interest in architectural materials, lighting, and interior environments; prior exposure to fabrication, CNC machining, or model shops is an advantage.Eligibility to work on-site in Artarmon, NSW, with availability to commit to the internship schedule.
