Electrical Fire Technician – Canberra, ACT

Guardian Safety Solutions is currently seeking a qualified and motivated Electrical Fire Technician to join our growing Canberra-based team. In this full-time role, you'll be responsible for servicing and maintaining a wide range of fire protection systems across commercial, retail, industrial, and healthcare facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct routine testing, inspection, and repairs of fire protection systems including fire alarms, emergency lighting, and fire extinguishers

• Carry out fire detection system testing, maintaining and installations as required

• Respond to breakdowns and emergency call-outs to ensure systems are restored promptly

• Accurately complete service records, compliance reports, and job documentation

• Provide clients with clear updates, advice, and recommendations for ongoing compliance

• Ensure all work complies with Australian Standards (e.g., AS1851, AS2293) and industry regulations

What We're Looking For

• Licensed electrician with current qualifications

• Experience in the fire protection industry (preferred)

• Strong understanding of fire systems, compliance requirements, and safety standards

• Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills

• Confident communicator with strong customer service skills

• Highly organised, self-motivated, and able to manage your own schedule

• Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
