Stores & Hose Asssembly / Internal Sales Support

This is a hands-on, varied role that will be predominantly focused on stores operations and hose assembly, with the opportunity to gradually develop your skills and provide support to our Internal Sales team as your product knowledge and experience grows.

Working as part of our team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the stores area, preparing customer orders and completing hose assembly, while ensuring customers receive a high level of service.

Over time, you will also have the opportunity to learn our products, systems and customers and provide additional support to the Internal Sales team.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Receiving, checking and putting away incoming stock
• Picking and packing customer orders
• Maintaining an organised and tidy stores area
• Hose assembly, cutting, crimping and testing
• Preparing orders for dispatch and customer collection
• Assisting with stock control and stocktakes
• Loading and unloading deliveries
• Providing support to customers and other team members when required
• Learning our products and developing strong product knowledge
• Providing administrative and sales support to the Internal Sales team as your knowledge develops
• Processing quotes, orders and enquiries under guidance
• Assisting with general branch duties as required

We are looking for someone who is practical, reliable and keen to learn.

You will ideally have:

• Previous experience in a stores, warehouse, trade or industrial environment
• Mechanical aptitude and an interest in learning hose assembly
• Good attention to detail and a commitment to getting things right
• A strong work ethic and willingness to get involved
• Good communication and customer service skills
• The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Good computer skills and the ability to learn new systems
• A current forklift licence would be advantageous
• Previous hose assembly or hydraulic experience would be highly regarded, but is not essential
