About the role
Woodlands Roxburgh Park is ready for its next chapter, and we are looking for someone who wants to help lead that transformation.
This is not a role for someone who simply wants to maintain the status quo. We are looking for an experienced and influential Pedagogical Leader who can see what is possible, build trust with educators and lead meaningful improvements in practice.
If you are energised by the opportunity to take a centre through change, lift the quality of educational practice and help a team rediscover its confidence and purpose, this could be the opportunity you've been looking for.
Roxburgh Park is a service with huge potential and an opportunity to make a genuine difference.
The centre is going through a period of change, and we are looking for the right person to help shape what comes next. There is an opportunity to strengthen educational practice, build educator capability, create greater consistency and help establish a positive, high-performing culture.
You won't be walking into a centre where everything is already established. You'll have the opportunity to influence, improve and shape it.
With the support of the broader Woodlands team, you'll have the backing, resources and opportunity to bring new ideas to life and create meaningful, sustainable change.
For the right person, this is a chance to look back and know you helped transform the centre.
As Pedagogical Leader, you will play a key role in shaping the educational direction and culture of the service.
Working closely with the Centre Leadership Team and broader Woodlands support team, you will identify opportunities for improvement, coach and develop educators, strengthen curriculum practice and help embed a culture of reflection, accountability and continuous improvement.
You will have the opportunity to make a visible and lasting impact on the centre experience, with the support of a growing organisation behind you.
Lead the transformation and continuous improvement of educational practice across the centre.
Identify opportunities to strengthen curriculum, pedagogy and outcomes for children.
Coach, mentor and inspire educators to build confidence and capability.
Challenge existing practices in a constructive and supportive way.
Lead reflective practice and create a culture where educators are encouraged to learn, grow and try new approaches.
Strengthen curriculum planning, documentation, assessment and intentional teaching.
Support the implementation of the EYLF and NQS, with a strong focus on meaningful outcomes for children.
Work alongside the Centre Director to build a positive, accountable and connected team culture.
Contribute to the QIP and translate improvement priorities into practical action.
Build strong relationships with educators, children, families and the wider community.
Partner with the broader Woodlands team to bring new ideas, resources and ways of working into the service.
We are looking for someone who has done this before.
Someone who has stepped into a service that needed change and knows how to bring people with them.
You may have been an Educational Leader, Practice Lead, Centre Director, Pedagogical Leader or another senior early childhood professional who has successfully transformed educational practice and team culture.
You'll bring:
An ACECQA-approved Degree or Diploma in Early Childhood Education.
Demonstrated experience leading significant improvements in educational practice.
A strong understanding of the EYLF, NQS, QIP and contemporary early childhood pedagogy.
Experience coaching, mentoring and developing educators with different levels of capability and confidence.
The ability to build trust while also holding people accountable for high-quality practice.
Strong change leadership skills and the resilience to work through challenges.
A confident, authentic and collaborative leadership style.
The ability to turn strategy and improvement priorities into practical, sustainable change.
Current WWCC or VIT, First Aid, CPR, Mandatory Reporting and Police Check.
Because you will be able to see the difference you make.
This is an opportunity to take a service with significant potential and help shape what it becomes.
You'll have the chance to:
Make your mark on a centre going through genuine transformation.
Lead change, rather than simply maintain existing practice.
Influence a team and help educators grow in confidence and capability.
Shape the educational culture and the experience children have every day.
Work alongside a supportive leadership and operations team with a clear vision for the future.
Be part of Woodlands' broader transformation as we continue to grow and strengthen our network.
Access professional development, career opportunities and support across a growing organisation.
Up to 95% childcare discount
If you've ever walked into a service and thought, "I can see the potential here", we want to hear from you.
This is an opportunity for a passionate early childhood leader to take on a meaningful challenge, lead transformation and help create a centre where children thrive, educators feel proud of their work and families feel confident in the experience their children receive.
Start fresh. Build together. Make your mark.
Apply now with your resume and a brief cover letter outlining your experience leading meaningful change in an early learning environment.
Woodlands is committed to child safety. We have zero tolerance for child abuse and are dedicated to creating environments where children are safe, supported, and empowered. All applicants are subject to child safety screening and pre-employment checks in line with legislative requirements.
