Full-Time Position | Early Finish Every Friday | On-the-Job Training
D4D Engines Australia is a busy engine reconditioning workshop specialising in Toyota diesel engines. We’re looking for a reliable, hands-on Engine Dismantler / Mechanical Workshop Assistant to join our growing team in Clontarf.
This is a practical workshop role suited to someone who enjoys working with their hands, using tools and being part of a busy team. Previous engine rebuilding experience isn’t essential – we’re happy to provide on-the-job training to the right person. What matters most is mechanical aptitude, a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.
What you'll be doingDismantling Toyota diesel engines
Cleaning and preparing engine components using spray washers and cleaning tanks
Using workshop equipment including grinders, sandblasters and hand tools
Labelling, recording and organising engine components
Preparing engine blocks and components for the rebuilding process
Assisting our engine rebuild technicians
General workshop duties
Keeping your work area clean, safe and organised
You don't need to be a qualified mechanic, but you do need to be comfortable in a mechanical workshop environment.
Ideally, you'll have:
Previous experience in a hands-on, mechanical, trade or workshop role
Good mechanical aptitude and the ability to learn quickly
Confidence using hand and power tools
A strong work ethic and willingness to get stuck in
Good attention to detail and the ability to follow processes
Reliability and punctuality
The ability to work well as part of a team
This is a genuinely hands-on role. You must be comfortable:
Standing and working on your feet for extended periods
Regularly lifting and carrying heavy engine components
Performing repetitive manual tasks throughout the day
Working in a busy engine workshop environment
Applicants must have:
Current Australian Driver's Licence
Unrestricted Australian working rights
The physical fitness required to safely perform manual handling duties
Willingness to undergo a pre-employment medical assessment, including manual handling capability, if required
Stable, full-time employment
Full on-the-job training
Early finish every Friday
