About the role
Working within our manufacturing team, you'll provide essential support to our fabrication and welding crews, helping to manufacture premium livestock equipment used by producers across Australia. From cattle yards and forcing pens to loading ramps and bulk handlers, you'll assist with material preparation, assembly, grinding, handling, and general workshop duties in a safety-first, Zero Harm workplace.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start or develop a career in manufacturing, fabrication, or welding while contributing to ProWay's Lean Manufacturing journey focused on continuous improvement, quality, and operational excellence.

Assisting welders and fabricators with day-to-day workshop activities
Preparing materials and components for fabrication
Operating hand and power tools safely
Grinding, cleaning, and finishing welded products
Moving materials and equipment throughout the workshop
Assisting with assembly of livestock handling equipment
Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe work environment
Supporting Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
Following quality and safety procedures at all times
Strong work ethic and positive attitude
Commitment to safety and quality workmanship
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Good attention to detail
Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks
Reliable and punctual
Willingness to learn new skills and take direction
Previous manufacturing, construction, farming, or workshop experience is highly regarded but not essential
