About Our School

Eileen O'Connor Catholic College is a specialist school within Sydney Catholic Schools, dedicated to providing high-quality, faith-centred education for students with disability.

About You

As part of the Learning Support Team you will assist the classroom teacher in providing a quality Catholic education focused on maximising student outcomes, through a holistic, student centred curriculum. You must be able to demonstrate:

• an understanding of the needs of the diverse needs of students who require individual and classroom support
• ability to work collaboratively with teachers as a team member
• excellent communication and organisational skills, support and resourcefulness
• a willingness to support the positive religious and cultural Catholic school environment for students
• a Certificate III or IV in Educational Support from TAFE NSW or equivalent post-secondary qualification.

Other Key Responsibilities include:

• personal care support such as providing feeding assistance, mealtime supervision, toileting support and personal care in line with individual care plans
• communication support in assisting students using AAC, visual supports, schedules and other communication systems to help them engage in learning and daily routines.
