Job Description

Rockwell Automation is hiring!

We are looking for a Technology Consultant (Software & Control) to be based in our Sydney office.

Reporting to Manager, Software & Control, South Pacific, you will be the technical domain expert for our Software & Control products portfolio. You will use your expertise to provide consultation to our sales team and contribute to the growth of our business.

You will also be intimately engaged in important customer opportunities, identify technical / commercial challenges and work with appropriate channels to address those challenges. There's also the opportunity to be involved in several of our marketing events and present your areas of expertise to our customers.

Learn our technology will be main to the success of your role, which means you will attend technical training and explore the latest technologies before bringing them to the market. As part of the broader domain experts community globally, you will network and learn from one another!

Your Responsibilities

Be the technical product expert and focal point in pre-sales activitiesSupport customers' presentations and proposalsDefine and explain product differentiators and values versus competitionProvide product gap and development feedback

The Essentials - You Will Have

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalentAt least 5 years' experience of hands-on experience in automation and related products

The Preferred - You Might Also Have

Experience in IoT platforms and SAAS offeringsPrior experience in customer-facing rolesPrior experience in F&B or Mining industryEnjoy a role which has a mix of technical / commercial exposure
