Associate / Senior Associate – Family Law

About the role

A rare opportunity is available for an experienced solicitor to join our Family team as an Associate.

Working alongside an experienced partner, you will play an integral role in delivering tailored legal solutions to our established clients in a full breadth of family law matters.

As part of our team you will:

• Undertake a variety of family law work including:
• property disputes, with a particular slant towards complicated and high net wealth matters
• parenting dispute;
• drafting financial agreements;
• child support matters and the preparation of binding child support agreements
• Participate in litigious matters and mediations;
• Meet with clients and manage client relationships on an ongoing basis.
• Manage your own files in a pro-active and effective manner.
• Any other duties as reasonably directed by senior lawyers in the Family team.

Skills & Experience

To be successful in this role you will have:

• At least 3 years of post admission legal experience in family law.
• Demonstrated experience in a highly focused private client service environment.
• Strong research and analysis skills and ability to apply critical thinking.
• Current QLD practicing certificate.
• Demonstrated skills in Microsoft Office Suite and document management systems.
• Dedication to providing excellence in client service with excellent communication skills and a flexible approach.
• Capacity to be self-managed and be self-motivated.
