Field Worker A (Open Space) – Full time, salary commencing at $70,601

Operate machinery and undertake detailed maintenance of garden and turf areas in parks and reserves. Use brush cutters, blowers and mowers, and apply chemicals safely

Field Worker A (Sports Maintenance) – Full time, salary commencing at $70,601

Undertake general grounds maintenance within sports groundsEstablish and maintain sports turf areas and gardens in sporting venuesAssist with minor landscape construction works

Undertake general nursery operations, including maintenance, propagation, plant production and customer-focused activities

Operate a tractor and undertake general maintenance within parks and reservesEnsure all machinery and equipment is maintained

Lead the team to complete tree maintenance safely and on timeUndertake pruning, tree surgery, tree removal and arboricultural maintenance activities including tree climbingOperate and maintain specific arboricultural machinery including woodchippers, elevated platforms and chainsaws

About You

All candidates will need:

Demonstrated horticulture experienceThe ability to work as part of a team to complete assigned tasks on timeA minimum of a C Class Drivers licenceConstruction Induction cardFIT testing respirator test – workers must be clean-shaven or have facial hair that doesn’t interfere with the fitting surfaces and valve of the respirator

Some positions may require Q Fever immunisation.
