About the role
THE ROLE
The Director, Emergency Management South-East is responsible for leading a unit to deliver on the department's regional emergency management planning, preparedness, relief and recovery responsibilities, ensuring departmental relief and recovery responsibilities and programs are effective and contribute to an integrated whole of department response to support the Victorian community.
The position works closely with the Disability, Fairness and Emergency Management and Community Operations and Practice Leadership Division executive teams, across government and with key stakeholders in the emergency management and social services sector to deliver outcomes that assist to mitigate risk to Victorians before, during and after emergencies.
The position requires a sound understanding of emergency management, government or other relevant organisational environments, program design and delivery, stakeholder and community engagement, budget management, and demonstrated leadership and management capability.
