What you'll be doing?

Owning sales performance — Taking full accountability for new business revenue, customer acquisition, and conversion targets, driving sustainable growth through hands-on sales leadership, pipeline management, and performance accountability.

Building and leading a high-performing sales team — Motivating, developing, and managing the Sydney-based Customer Relations team and an offshore BPO partner, creating a cohesive, results-driven, and customer-focused sales culture.

Coaching and developing sales capability — Providing targeted, hands-on coaching to continuously lift team members' sales skills, objection handling, conversion rates, and overall commercial performance.

Setting and maintaining sales standards — Establishing clear performance expectations, sales processes, and operating standards that drive consistency, quality, and continuous improvement across the team.

Championing the customer experience — Ensuring every customer interaction across all channels reflects a professional, premium experience that drives satisfaction, referrals, and long-term loyalty.

Managing the BPO relationship — Overseeing the performance and alignment of the offshore BPO partner to ensure consistent sales standards and seamless integration with the onshore team.

Using data to drive decisions — Monitoring sales metrics, customer trends, and performance reporting to identify opportunities, address gaps, and continually optimise commercial outcomes.

Collaborating with key stakeholders — Partnering across the business to align sales, customer, and risk priorities, and contributing to broader growth and improvement initiatives.
Who are they looking for?

Sales team leadership experience — Proven experience leading and growing a sales, customer acquisition, or contact centre team with a strong track record of hitting and exceeding revenue and conversion targets.

Coaching and people development capability — A natural coach who can identify performance gaps, deliver meaningful feedback, and build the sales capability of individuals and the team as a whole.

Commercial acumen — The ability to think commercially, manage pipeline, and balance customer experience with revenue outcomes in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment.

Communication and stakeholder skills — Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills to influence, collaborate, and communicate effectively across all levels of the business.

Data and CRM proficiency — Comfortable working with sales performance reporting, CRM systems, and operational metrics to drive informed decision-making and accountability.

Offshore or BPO experience — Prior experience managing offshore or BPO sales teams is advantageous and will be well regarded.

Industry background — Experience in insurance, financial services, luxury goods, or a related industry is desirable but not essential — strong sales leadership is the priority.
