About the role
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Assistant Practice Manager to join our dynamic team at UQ Health Care Limited. As a full-time role, you will play a vital part in supporting the smooth and efficient operation of our Medical Practice and our Medicare Urgent Care Clinic.

What you'll be doing

• Assist the Practice Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the medical practice

• Support the management of administrative staff, including rostering, training and growth of the administrative staff

• Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures 

• Liaise with patients, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders to address inquiries and resolve issues

• Assist in the management of practice finances, including billing, accounts receivable and budgeting

• Participate in the planning and execution of practice improvement initiatives

• Provide backup support to the Practice Manager 

What we're looking for

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a medical practice or healthcare administration role

• Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, policies, and best practices

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with patients, staff, and healthcare providers

• Proficiency in using practice management software and other administrative tools

• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritise and multitask

• Proven track record of contributing to the success of a medical practice

• Base $80,000 per annum plus superannuation  

• As a not-for-profit you will have access to the following salary sacrifice arrangements: $15,900 General Living and $2,650 Entertainment benefits. Bringing the total salary package to $88,730 plus superannuation
