About the role
About the role
We are seeking experienced and appropriately licensed Building and Electrical Contractors to join our growing renewable energy installation business. We have opportunities for a licensed building contractor and a licensed electrical contractor. Applicants holding both NSW licence categories are strongly encouraged to apply.
Key responsibilities
Supervise both residential and commercial solar and battery installation work.
Act as the nominated qualified supervisor for the relevant licence category.
Provide genuine and effective supervision of employees and subcontractors.
Ensure work complies with NSW legislation, the National Construction Code, Australian Standards and manufacturer requirements.
Review site assessments, installation plans, technical reports and compliance evidence.
Conduct installation inspections, quality audits and defect rectification.
Ensure electrical installations are properly tested and certified.
Complete and submit Certificates of Compliance for Electrical Work through the BCNSW eCert portal.
Maintain accurate licence, insurance, inspection and compliance records.
Support workplace health and safety, training and continuous improvement activities.
About you
Current NSW individual contractor licence with the appropriate Q endorsement or qualified supervisor certificate in General building work and/or Electrical wiring work.
Demonstrated experience supervising residential or commercial building, solar or battery installations.
Strong knowledge of NSW licensing, electrical safety, building compliance and WHS requirements.
Ability to actively supervise tradespeople and ensure compliant workmanship.
Strong communication, reporting and problem-solving skills.
Current Australian driver licence and the right to work in Australia.
Solar Accreditation Australia accreditation for solar PV and/or battery installations (highly regarded).
Experience with residential and commercial battery energy storage systems (highly regarded).
Knowledge of AS/NZS 3000, AS/NZS 5139 and applicable network requirements (highly regarded).
Experience with NSW government energy-efficiency or renewable-energy programs (highly regarded).
