Junior Family Law Solicitor

Greigs Legal has an exciting opportunity for a solicitor to join our team on a permanent full-time basis at our office located in Gregory Hills NSW. 

Role Description

As a Junior Solicitor at Greigs Legal, you will work closely with our experienced solicitors across a range of family law matters, with the opportunity to develop your skills and gradually take on greater responsibility.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with parenting and property matters at various stages of proceedings
• Drafting correspondence, court documents, affidavits, application, consent orders and other legal documents
• Conducting legal research and preparing written advice
• Liaising with clients, counsel, other solicitors, experts and relevant organisations
• Attending client conferences, dispute resolution events and court appearances as appropriate
• Assisting with the preparation and management of matters for interim and final hearings
• Managing deadlines, court dates, and procedural requirements
• Developing responsibility for your own files and matters under appropriate supervision 
• Providing clients with clear, practical and professional assistance throughout their matters
• Maintaining accurate file records and a high standard of professionalism, ethics and attention to detail

To be considered for this role, you will need:

• Admission as a solicitor in Australia and a current NSW practising certificate
• 0-2 years PAE, with applications from newly admitted solicitors welcomed
• An interest in developing a career in family law
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• A professional, approachable and client-focused attitude
• A willingness to learn, take feed back and develop your skills
