Early Childhood Educators

Willowgrove Early Learning Centre is looking for a caring, passionate and enthusiastic Early Childhood Educator to join our team in Romsey.

As an Early Childhood Educator, you will:

• Build warm, respectful and responsive relationships with children

• Provide a safe, nurturing and engaging learning environment

• Support children's learning through play and intentional teaching

• Observe, document and contribute to children's individual learning and development

• Work collaboratively with your room team and the wider Willowgrove team

• Develop meaningful relationships with families and communicate openly and respectfully

• Support children's social and emotional wellbeing

• Encourage children's independence, confidence and sense of belonging

• Contribute to planning and implementing our educational program

• Maintain a high standard of health, hygiene, safety and supervision

• Follow Willowgrove's policies, procedures and the National Quality Framework

• Contribute to a positive, inclusive and respectful team culture

To be considered for this position, you will hold:

• Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, or

• Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care

We welcome applications from educators at different stages of their careers, including those who are newly qualified and ready to take the next step.

Previous experience in an early childhood setting will be highly regarded.

Child safety is everyone's responsibility at Willowgrove.

We are committed to providing an environment where every child is safe, respected, included and heard. We have a zero-tolerance approach to child abuse, harm and inappropriate behaviour, and child safety is embedded throughout our recruitment, induction, training and ongoing employment practices.

As part of our child-safe recruitment process, successful applicants will be required to participate in appropriate screening and checks, which may include:

• Verification of identity and qualifications

• A current Working with Children Check (WWCC)

• Relevant referee checks, including child-safety-focused questions

• Child-safe interview and selection processes

• Verification of employment history

• Consideration of relevant gaps in employment history

• Disclosure and assessment of relevant allegations, investigations or disciplinary matters

• Required child safety and child protection training

• Completion of Willowgrove's child-safe induction and Code of Conduct requirements
