Community Executive, Campaigns

About the role

Join the Victoria Racing Club (VRC) and play a key role in bringing community initiatives to life during one of Australia's most iconic events. Reporting to the Senior Community Manager, you'll support the delivery of high-profile community programs associated with the Melbourne Cup Carnival, including the much-loved Pin & Win campaign, the Lexus Melbourne Cup Tour, and activities of the Melbourne Cup Foundation. this role is required asap until the mid November 2026 and is a casual contract.

Key responsibilities

• Supporting the planning and delivery of the Pin & Win campaign across the Melbourne Cup Carnival

• Coordinating volunteer requirements with Ronald McDonald House Charities

• Assisting with Lexus Melbourne Cup Tour activities and other community initiatives

• Organising event materials, collateral and activation resources

• Providing administrative support for Melbourne Cup Foundation programs

• Managing project budgets, invoices and financial records

• Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders

• Ensuring activities are delivered in line with VRC policies, procedures and values

About you

• 3+ years' experience in events, marketing, fundraising or community engagement

• Experience within the events, sporting or not-for-profit sectors is highly regarded

• Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

• Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with experience using CMS and Adobe programs desirable
